Federal Interagency Wilderness Coordinating Committee and Wilderness Executive Council

Collectively, the Wilderness Coordinating Committee (WCC) and Wilderness Executive Council (WEC) oversee management of the National Wilderness Preservation System, the Arthur Carhart National Wilderness Training Center and Aldo Leopold Wilderness Research Institute and assist in oversight of the Wilderness.net project. Both groups include representatives from each of the wilderness management agencies and the USGS. The WCC reports to the WEC.
